In the time interval November 2024 – March 2025 the STIPP partners were busy promoting the funding possibilities within the STIPP instrument (SME Transition Innovation Partners Projects) meant to support SMEs in the Meuse-Rhine region to enhance their competitiveness and innovative strength.
Approximately 150 meetings were held in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany between the Regional Development Agencies (LIOF, AGIT, NMWP, POM Limburg, VLAIO Team Bedrijfstrajecten, Wallonie Entreprendre) and the SMEs.
In addition to this 9 external events were attended to further promote the STIPP instrument and one online training session was organized for SMEs.
As a result of the work done, a total number of approximately 600 SMEs were reached.
Out of these, 6 consortia totaling 13 SMEs went forward and submitted their application forms within the call 1 of STIPP which had its submission deadline on 31 March – noon.
The available budget for this call was 2,5 million ERDF. The proposals received amounted to approx. 1 million ERDF.
The final decision on the selected projects will be made by the Board of Directors of the Regional Development Agencies involved on 3 June 2025.
